Jessie's swimmimg lessons and lots of other pictures

I thought I would just post a selection of new pictures of the girls for everyone to see and enjoy. First are the pictures of Kat on "her pretty pony". Some of you know that her pony sings a pretty pony song so you know what I'm talking about. She was wearing the goggles that came with a water toy Jessie got from Santa.

Phil and Julie you can see how much she loves her pony!

Here's a couple of the girls together. Jessie is "reading" to Kat in one. She is starting to actually read now, just not books of that size!

Here's Jessie at her swim lessons. She started up again after skipping the last session so mommy could get ready for our Disney trip with less things to do and after their holiday break. So it's been since early November that she was in the pool for classes. She did pretty good too. Usually after a break it takes her a couple lessons to get back in the groove of things. Next month she will also start ballet lessons. She's very excited to start those.

Starting her dive...

...finishing her dive, and...

...swimming back to the wall.

A break from the goggles to smile for mommy.

A big jump into the pool.
Last but not least, Jessie wanted to wear some of her extra make up from when she had her hair and make up done at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Disney World. She also insisted I take a picture of her with her purple eye shadow. I'm glad she made me take these pictures because I just love this one.

Our Disney trip

Our most recent news is we went to Disney World for a week in December. The girls had a lot of fun. We stayed at the Port Orleans French Quarter Resort for the first time. The girls had fun hanging out with Mema and Bepa by the pool the first day. That is the water slide behind them. We only got to swim one time because the weather was so cool for the week. Jessie got to go down the slide a couple times and Tom took Kat down the slide once too before they closed the slide for the night. We were there for a total of 7 full days to enjoy the parks. A lot of that time was spent at Magic Kingdom. Jessie discovered her love of roller coasters while we were there too. She had already ridden Goofy's Barnstormer on her last trip (the little kid coaster). This time she was tall enough to ride the big coasters. She loved the twisting and turning coasters the most. She did learn she's not quite ready for the big drops yet. The newest coaster, Expedition Everest had a pretty steep drop for her and she did NOT like that. We met a lot of characters in all the parks too. Kat really enjoyed the rides in Fantasyland. Every time we finished a ride she liked she would say "more" as we got off it, and she would get a little upset sometimes if we didn't ride it again. She also loved all things Pooh. We knew that she would even before we went down there. Pooh is definitely her favorite character. Mema and Bepa were a big help to us the whole trip. The girls would hit their limits at some points and Mema and Bepa would help to try and distract them, or even take them away. Just splitting them up sometimes would do the trick. We'll definitely be taking the grandparents with us next time too! I'll post some pictures below of some fun times. You'll notice there aren't any of Tom and you probably won't see any on this blog. I'm sure most of you know how much he dislikes pictures being taken of him. We did get some nice family shots, but I guess those will be staying at home. Enjoy the pictures.

Jessie loving the Teacups!

Jessie and me on Goofy's Barnstormer.

Kat on the slide at Pooh's Playful Spot.

Kat kissing Leo from Little Einstein's.

The girls with Piglet at Crystal Palace for dinner.

The girls with Buzz Lightyear in Magic Kingdom.

The girls with the bears from Brother Bear. We've never even seen this movie so we had to ask Mema and Bepa about them since they have the movie. Kat just LOVED the big bear, and I can't remember his name right now. We had them to ourselves for quite awhile and Kat just snuggled up in his lap. At one point you couldn't even see her she was so deep in his lap!

OK, Here we go...

From reading other family blogs I decided it was time to start one for our family. I thought this would be a good way for family and friends to keep up to date with our lives. Not that our lives change much! The girls keep us busy, Tom and I work, and we seem to go about our day to day lives the same every day for the most part. I will try to keep this blog up to date as much as I can. I will try to post pictures so you can see how the girls change and grow. I will do my best and that is all I can promise. Enjoy!
