May...Friends, Field Trip, and Ballet

Random May pictures.

Playing at the Coy's after dinner.

Kat and Ainsley.

Jessie and Cam.

Kat loves to play in the sandbox, wherever she can find one.

Kat with baby Kennedy. She loved it when Kennedy giggled and smiled.

Kennedy wasn't so happy at this point, but Jessie still loved holding her.

Jessie posing in her recital costume at her last ballet class.

Such a beautiful smile. When did she get so big??

Kat on her field trip at the Nature Center.

Petting the cow at the barn.

She loved that cow :)

Climbing the rocks before we left. This is something I used to love to do when I went to the Nature Center with my Dad. I have to say those rocks sure do look a lot smaller than I remember:)

Posing at home before heading out for her recital. The theme for her recital was dolls and her class were the paper dolls.

Waiting for the show to start. I didn't get any clear pictures of the show, but she did great!

Posing with her flowers after the show. She loves getting flowers.

Kat wanted to pose too. Next year she will probably have her own recital.

Opening day for Parchment Little League

Jessie is playing little league for her second year. This year she is in 7-8 softball where they use the pitching machine. She's having a lot of fun and is also gradually learning some more skills. One thing she really needs to work on is paying attention during the game. These are pictures from opening day.

Ready to go to the high school to meet her team for the parade. It was a very chilly morning.

The girls are starting to arrive and load in the truck. Her friend Kelly is on the right.

Still posing as the other girls are sitting down.

The parade is coming down Riverview. Do you think the sirens were loud for Kat? :)

Jessie's team passing us. She threw a lot of candy for Kat. She's the second one from the right.

Still throwing candy.

I think they finally took a break from throwing candy.

Now the firetrucks at the end of the parade are loud.

Mema and Bepa helping Kat pick candy up off the street.

Grabbing as much as they can before traffic starts up again.

This is how much Parchment people like their candy. Swarming the streets for free candy. The car on the left even stopped in the middle of the street and left his door wide open while he got out to get candy.

One more shot before they got to the fields (all out of candy).

I mentioned it was chilly. Actually by now it was COLD and WINDY. The girls are all huddling together to keep warm.

On the field after their team was finally called. Jessie is number 10.

Waiting for her turn to bat.

Believe it or not she's about to hit this ball. If you can't see it her eyes are closed.

This was something she did everytime she ran the bases, pulling her pants up. I got her a belt by the next game, even though it was funny to see her hike her pants every time.

No she doesn't have to go to the bathroom. She was shivering from the cold on 2nd base.

One of Kat's favorite things to do at the games...eat popcorn.

Her other favorite thing to do...play with her friends. Morgan is on the left and Olivia is in the middle.

Playing on defense. This shows how she needs to pay attention. We had to tell her to put her mitt on the correct hand and watch the ball. She was having fun though:)

Now she's ready for the ball:)

April pictures...almost caught up

Here's our candid and Easter pictures from April.

Kat had a lot of fun with this box. She did lots of coloring and the first thing she wanted to do was make it a car. Here she's driving Teddy around.

Enjoying the bright sunshine. Where are the sunglasses when you need them.

Kat had her sunglasses on. She's really outgrowing her tricycle, but she just can't get the hang of her training wheel bike since it brakes when she pedals backwards.

Following the treasure hunt of easter eggs that "Ralphie Rabbit" left for them at Mema and Bepa's house. Kat got to grab the eggs and Jessie read her the clues for where to go next.

Found the treasure!!!

Coloring easter eggs. We do a lot of crayon coloring before we dip them.

Taking a break from coloring to pose for daddy.

Such a pretty smile.

A few of the finished works of art. We did use blue, green, purple and red too but the girls picked all yellow and orange to show for some reason.

Ready for church Easter morning.

Before the kids were released for the egg hunt at Grandma and Papa's house.

I found a pink one!

Didn't catch the color of that egg, moving too quick to get to the next egg.

Jessie's haul of eggs.

Kat's haul of eggs.
