Christmas 2009

Here's a bunch of pictures showing the fun we had during December.

Kat did really well this year helping to decorate the tree. She had a lot of fun with it.

Jessie got into it as usual too. They both love the Homer Simpson ornaments that are daddy's (they talk when you push a button on them). Kat did pretty well with the rule of not touching ornaments once they are on the tree.

Posing nicely.

Kat had such a pretty smile here I just couldn't resist putting it up. Daddy took this one when I was out one day. She loves her daddy time.

Concentrating while putting together candy cane ornaments for gifts to friends and family.

Concentrating a little less while putting her ornaments together. She just couldn't stop watching the Christmas shows that were on the TV.

We went downtown to see Santa, have dinner at Burdick's, and walk through the park to see the lights and the nativity scene in the park. We had to go see baby Jesus twice while we were there. They loved seeing the nativity scene up close instead of just driving past it. This is when they were talking with Santa. Kat wasn't to sure of Santa this year. I think it took Jessie until she was 4 to finally sit on his lap.

Maybe next year it can be just the girls and Santa.

They both LOVE the Santa statue downtown and were so excited to sit and pose with it. They can't wait until he is put up again next year.

This was the first year we actually walked through the park believe it or not. The girls had fun even though we picked a pretty chilly night to go. We had to walk through every candy cane lane corner. We posed with the "frosty" statue to but the lighting wasn't as good there so that picture didn't show up as well. I think we have started a new tradition.

Christmas Eve at Uncle Phil's. Jessie got two of her new best friends...this is Kaitlyn and the
other friend is after Kat's next pic.

Kat had so much fun tearing into the presents. It was REALLY hard to keep track of who the presents were from while BOTH girls kept ripping into them instead of just one girl.

This is Alexis, her other new best friend. They both sleep at the end of her bed every night. Even though they are from different makers they can share their clothes, which is great.

Christmas morning. Kat got her first video game. She still has a hard time figuring out the controls, but she'll get it pretty soon I'm sure. At least all their games are educational ones so far.

Christmas at Grandma and Papa Dreier's. Tom got 3 great pictures in a row here. They were both Santa's helpers as they handed out presents.

Merry Christmas!

Both girls happy at the same time!

And this is all the grandkids together. It doesn't happen very often and they were all pretty cooperative for this picture. Even Alex smiled.
That's all so a belated Merry Christams and a Happy new year to all!
