Pictures of Sesame Street, first day of school, and others...

This was the girls enjoying the 123 Elmo Live show. Kat never got off my lap or Tom's lap the whole show. She had a lot of fun though.

Jessie posing for a pic.

Kat dancing with mommy. I know I said she never got off our laps, but this dance didn't last more then 30 seconds. We were in the front row so when the characters came off the stage we were really close to them. The girls got lots of high fives from them, even Elmo!

All the girls during intermission.

Jessie ready for her first day of school.

She wanted to pretend to walk to school, even though we drive her there.

She's my school girl now, and she's loving it.

Practicing lining up on the first day. Notice how tall she is compared to the other kids.

We're not sure if she'll be Jojo for halloween, we were just trying the costume on. She was too cute in it not to post it though. As soon as I put the hat on her I said "She looks exactly like Jessie did". If I compared the two pictures I'd have a hard time telling them apart.

Listening to Jessie's new "music player" together. They each have an ear piece on.

Kat with her mega block creation.

Jessie at her new ballet class.

Feeding the budgie birds.

More feeding the budgie birds.

and more feeding the birds.

Mommy and Kat on the swan boat. We have pictures of Jessie and daddy on the boats too, but you'll have to use your imagination for those.

The rest of our summer...

OK, I'm finally posting some new pictures. These are some pictures from late summer.

Here is Jessie next to her sunflowers that she grew this summer. She was very proud of them. Next year we'll work on some more flowers.

Kat was loving the swings on this trip to the park.

I know it's not a close up picture, but this one shows that Jessie FINALLY learned how to pump her legs and swing on her own. Thanks Bepa!

Jessie driving the girls to the park. This will be her last summer driving the car. You can see how high her knees are in this picture. I just can't imagine her fitting in the car next year. Kat will inherit the pink car next year. I think we'll have to put 2 pillows behind her for her to reach the peddles. Jessie started with one.

Daddy got this nice picture of the girls wearing his hats one day.

Kat LOVING the aquarium at John Ball Zoo. She just can't get enough watching "fishies".

Kat hanging out the train at John Ball Zoo.

Jessie posing for the camera.

Both girls, and mommy, loving the pigmy goats.

This is Jessie posing on a frog statue at Fort Wayne Zoo.

I had a request from someone (Mike S.) for a picture of a giraffe, so here it is. This is at Fort Wayne Zoo. We never did feed the giraffes this year so I didn't get any off the girls close to the giraffes.

The girls had a ball watching the sea lions swim back and forth in their huge tank. They would just sit and wait at the window for them to make it back down to their end.
That's it for now. I will try to post some other pictures I have from the Sesame Street show we saw and Jessie's first day of school soon.

New pictures...june and 4th of July

Well it's time to update some pictures again. I got some of my favorites on the 4th of July that you'll see below. Enjoy everyone!

This is Kat showing off her new "big girl bed". She had her toddler bed for about a week when this was taken. We thought she would be wandering all over her room as soon as she was free from her crib. She did very good staying in bed right away though. She only fell out of bed once. Luckily it was a short fall. She has since learned not to wiggle around so much. We will happily sell the crib in our garage sale next week!

When we lost power for 24hours in June the girls did a pretty good job entertaining themselves. At one point Tom did get the laptop out for them so they could watch a movie though. They zoned right in and were happy to have a movie to watch.

The girls enjoyed some cuddle time in Jessie's bed.

Jessie loves to play in this pop up tent. It's meant for a baby so it's a tight fit for her, but she doesn't care.

Jessie playing at Nature Center Camp. She went for a week in the mornings. She's very excited that next summer she'll be old enough for all day camp! She had a lot of fun making different art projects since art was the theme for the week.

Here's the start of the 4th of July pictures. We went to Plainwell for fireworks that night and the girls love running around in the field before the show starts. They had a lot of fun playing together without any fighting for the whole evening. It was a great family night. This picture is one of my favorites.

Running, running, running. She loved running back and forth.

This is my favorite picture.

This was taken right after the one before. You can see Kat was ready to be done but Jessie felt the need to "guide" her face for one more picture....

....and here Kat happily escapes one more posed picture.

Just lounging in the grass together, yes it's another favorite.

Talking in the grass telling secrets to each other. I'm sure Jessie was doing most of the secret telling, but Kat sure can keep up her end of the conversation.

Walking back instead of running. Holding hands too, how sweet.

Jessie spinning with her sparkler.

Kat intently watching her sparkler. I never did get a good one of her smiling, but she sure did love holding her own sparklers this year. You can see on the edge of the picture daddy wasn't very far away.

One more of Jessie with her sparklers. We had a great time at the fireworks. The weather was perfect and the girls loved watching the big show once it started. What a great night!

Family Pics March to April

The girls "camping out" in the living room.

Mommy and the girls in "jail".

Jessie posing in ballet class.

The girls going for their first bike ride on their new bikes in March.

Kat loving her new bike. She refuses to use the pedals, but she loves to push it along.

Jessie riding her bike around the park.

Jessie's Young Fives class at their bowling field trip.

Jessie's first attempt at bowling.

After awhile she started throwing the ball instead of rolling it.

Kat dressing up. She loves those goggles, they're in another post too.

Jessie showing off my attempt at a bun for ballet class. It came out within the first 5 minutes of her twirling around. I just can't get all that hair to stay put.
